Why TrollEye

What Made the Difference for CorroHealth

CorroHealth was not looking for another oversized security platform backed by a slow, inflexible vendor. Ricoh Danielson wanted a partner that combined practitioner expertise, responsive support, and technology his team could actually use to reduce risk.

01

Practitioner-Led Expertise

Ricoh chose TrollEye because the company was built by security practitioners who understand the work firsthand, not by a sales organization trying to fit every customer into the same product.

Technology expertise first
02

Agility When It Matters

When CorroHealth needs testing or support, it cannot wait nine or fifteen weeks to become a vendor’s priority. TrollEye gives Ricoh’s team the flexibility and speed to respond when the need arises.

Clearer paths to remediation
Partnership Impact

From Security Findings to Faster Action

TrollEye gave CorroHealth more than additional visibility. By bringing findings, context, recommendations, and direct practitioner support together, the partnership helped Ricoh Danielson’s team respond faster and communicate remediation priorities more clearly across the organization.

Ricoh Danielson on Choosing TrollEye

Why Ricoh Looked Beyond Big-Box Vendors

There are many tools out there for pen testing, continual pen testing, automated and autonomous pen testing, and red teaming. I think the big ones are overinflated and underdeliver. They are often more driven by sales than by technology expertise.

Why TrollEye Met CorroHealth’s Requirements

I know where the true nexus of TrollEye comes from, and that comes from a level of expertise that helps an executive make critical decisions. The tool meets our fundamental requirements, and it actually does the work. Not from a sales perspective or through a fancy report. It does the work.

Flexibility and Agility

The reason I chose TrollEye is the flexibility and agility it provides. If I need a penetration test done sooner rather than later, I know TrollEye will square that away. With the big vendors, you may be nine or fifteen weeks out and you are not the priority. With TrollEye, I can get what I need quickly.

A Team That Listens

The experience working with TrollEye’s team has been very good. The team listens to product feedback quickly and adjusts to meet market demand. You can talk directly to the CEO and engineers, share an idea, and receive an honest answer. When an idea makes sense, you can actually see it put on the roadmap.

Making Findings Easier to Act On

The tool is not clunky. I can identify code vulnerabilities, asset vulnerabilities, time to remediate, findings, and recommendations without chasing everything down. It makes complex issues easy enough to translate to development and infrastructure teams so they can understand how to fix them.

Faster Response, Remediation, and Scale

My speed to respond and my speed to remediate have gone down dramatically. My scalability, flexibility, and agility across the environment are much faster than with the big-box vendors. I can also avoid renegotiating every time we need something new and reallocate budget away from clunky tools.

Empowering the Team

The overall impact of TrollEye’s product is empowerment. It helped my team understand the complex nuances of code development, DevSecOps, and the dark web in a simple way. Analysts can move forward with clear direction, while executives can understand what is wrong and what needs to happen next.

Ricoh’s Advice to Other CISOs

To other CISOs, I would say: put the big names aside and pay attention. TrollEye may be the new kid on the block, but the company has serious people and expertise behind it. I wholeheartedly believe in the product, the people, the process, and the technology.
