Data security is a top priority for TrollEye, and TrollEye believes that working with skilled security researchers can identify weaknesses in any technology.

If you believe you’ve found a security vulnerability in TrollEye’s service, please notify us; we will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes the privacy practices of TrollEye, LLC, and our subsidiaries (collectively, “TrollEye,” “we”, “us” or “our”) and how we handle personal information that we collect through our digital properties that link to this Privacy Policy, specifically our informational website, https://www.trolleyesecurity.com (the “Service”) and other activities described in this Privacy Policy.  

TrollEye provides comprehensive, cybersecurity and cyber risk management services for our enterprise customers. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information that we process on behalf of our enterprise customers while providing TrollEye services to them, unless otherwise noted below. Our use of this information is restricted by our agreements with those enterprise customers. If you have concerns regarding personal information that we process on behalf of an enterprise customers, please direct your concerns to that enterprise customer. 

Our website is designed for businesses and their representatives. We do not offer products or services for use by individuals for their personal, family or household purposes. Accordingly, we treat all personal information we collect as pertaining to individuals in their capacities as business representatives and not their individual capacities.

Personal Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. Personal information you may provide to us through the Service or otherwise includes:

  • Contact data, such as your first and last name, salutation, email address, billing and mailing addresses, professional title and company name, and phone number.

 

  • Demographic data, such as your city, state, country of residence, postal code, and date of birth.

 

  • Communications data that we exchange with you, including when you contact us with questions or feedback, through the Service or otherwise (unless you notify us in accordance with this Privacy Policy to delete such communications, if feasible). 

 

  • Job application data, such as professional credentials and skills, educational and work history, LinkedIn profile page, personal website, authorization to work in the U.S., immigration status, criminal history, and other information that may be included on a resume or curriculum vitae as well as in a cover letter. This may also include diversity information that you voluntarily provide.
  • Marketing data, such as your preferences for receiving our marketing communications and details about your engagement with them.

 

  • Biometric data, unless you notify us in accordance with this Privacy Policy to delete such data.

 

  • Other data not specifically listed here, which we will use as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.

You are not required to provide your personal information. Our website is designed for businesses and their representatives. We do not offer products or services for use by individuals for their personal, family or household purposes. Duration of Your Personal Information Retention

 

We will process and store your personal information for a duration of two (2) years, unless otherwise authorized by law.

Under certain circumstances, your personal information will be securely stored and isolated from any further processing until deletion is possible. For example, when we have a legitimate interest in the storage of your personal data for as long as it is subject to retention requirements or storage for evidence, fraud prevention, or security purposes. Thereafter, your personal data will be deleted from our systems.

How We Share Your Personal Information

Your personal information may be transferred to third parties when required for the purpose of providing the services or to fulfill our statutory tasks, or if you have expressly consented to this. In addition, personal information may be transferred to third parties to provide proof in case of a payment dispute or if we are under obligation to do so by law or by an enforceable official or court order. Authorities and others. Law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties, as we believe in good faith to be necessary or appropriate for the “compliance and protection purposes” described above.

Business transferees. Acquirers and other relevant participants in business transactions (or negotiations and diligence for such transactions) involving a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, sale or other disposition of all or any portion of the business or assets of, or equity interests in, TrollEye or our subsidiaries (including, in connection with a bankruptcy or similar proceedings).  

We do not sell or share your personal information with any other third-party companies for their commercial or marketing use.

Declining to provide information. We need to collect personal information to provide certain services. If you do not provide the information we identify as required or mandatory, we may not be able to provide those services.

Updating and correcting information.  You can remove, correct, or update your information, withdraw consent to the processing of your information, or object to our processing of your information, and we will process your request promptly after receipt. We will also direct third parties who previously were provided your information to remove your information unless such notification is impossible or involves disproportionate effort or unless you submitted your personal information to any such third party directly. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we are not responsible for removing your personal information from the lists of any third party.

Accessing your information. You have the right to access your personal information, You may request a copy of the personal information we have on you in a structured, machine-readable and commonly used format for the purpose of transfer to another company without restrictions from our side (known as data portability), if technically feasible. Please note, however, that we reserve the right to enforce the restrictions required by law in cases where we are obliged to store or process certain personal data, have an overriding interest to do so, or require it to assert claims. Data access request fees may be charged if your requests are repetitive, excessive, or unfounded. We will inform you if your request may incur any costs for you. Please note also that the exercise of such rights requires that you clearly prove your identity (e.g. with a copy of an identification card, if your identity cannot otherwise be clearly verified). 

Notifications for Breach. In the event of a data breach, or in the event that we suspect a data breach, we will: (i) use our best efforts to promptly notify you, where technically feasible, and cooperate with you to investigate and resolve the data breach, and (ii) notify the competent authorities in accordance with applicable law.

In addition, our content may be integrated into web pages or other online services that are not associated with us. These links and integrations are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, any third party. Security

We employ a number of technical, organizational and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. However, security risk is inherent in all internet and information technologies and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information. 

 

International Data Transfer

We are headquartered in the United States and may use service providers that operate in other countries. Your personal information may be transferred in countries other than the country in which the data was originally collected and where privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your state, province, or country, including destinations outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) such as the United States or Switzerland. When your data is transferred to countries outside of the EEA or Switzerland, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, we comply with applicable legal requirements providing adequate protection for the transfer of data to countries outside the EEA and/or Switzerland, and we enter into agreements with any subprocessors designed to ensure an adequate level of protection.

Children

The Service is not intended for use by children under 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information through the Service from a child under 18 without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian as required by law, we will delete it. 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the date of this Privacy Policy and posting it on the Service. If required by law we will also provide notification of changes in another way that we believe is reasonably likely to reach you, such as via email or another manner through the Service. Biometric Data

When you apply for cybersecurity and cyber risk management services through TrollEye, we may receive and process identity related information, including your biometric data, in connection with our internal processes on customer identity verification. This information may include facial scans and information derived from this data. 

Use of biometric data. We may use the biometric data we obtain about you to: (i) verify applicants’ identities; (ii) comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements and policies, including this Privacy Policy; (iii) enforce our Terms of Use; (iv) protect our rights; (v) comply with legal holds; or and protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical, or illegal activity.

Sharing of biometric data. We may share biometric data we obtain about applicants with: (i) service providers we have retained to perform services on our behalf (such as identity verification and data analytics); (ii) if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is required by law or legal process, such as a subpoena, search warrant, or order of a court or tribunal; (iii) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities; (iv) to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights; (v) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical or other harm or financial loss in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (vi) otherwise with your consent.

Biometric Data Retention. To the extent required by Illinois state law, TrollEye will retain the biometric data of Illinois residents only until the occurrence of the first of the following, after which we will permanently destroy the biometric data:

  • The initial purpose for collecting or obtaining such biometric data – as set out in this Privacy Policy – has been satisfied, or 
  • Three years following your last interaction with TrollEye or one of its enterprise customers.

Your California Privacy Rights Notice

Your California privacy rights. Under California’s Shine the Light law (California Civil Code Section 1798.83), the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, and the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020, California residents may ask companies with whom they have formed a business relationship primarily for personal, family or household purposes to provide the names of third parties to which they have disclosed certain personal information (as defined under the Shine the Light law) during the preceding calendar year for their own direct marketing purposes and the categories of personal information disclosed. You also have a right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. You may send us requests for this information to [email protected]. In your request, you must include the statement “Shine the Light Request,” and provide your first and last name and mailing address and certify that you are a California resident. We reserve the right to require additional information to confirm your identity and California residency.
